The Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA) offers an industry-based graduate gaming education in a world-class facility in downtown Orlando. Students work on the latest game engines and are mentored by faculty with decades of game-making experience. In 16 months, students earn a Master’s of Science degree in Interactive Entertainment.
Formed by the University of Central Florida in April 2004, FIEA opened its doors in the fall of 2005.

FIEA is an industry-, team- and project-based graduate game development program at the University of Central Florida. The program was formed in April 2004 when Electronic Arts and other industry partners helped the University of Central Florida secure funding to develop and implement a video-game design and development program. Students in the 16-month graduate program earn an accredited Master's of Science degree in Interactive Entertainment.
FIEA features an immersive, project-based video game curriculum. Students are placed in cohort teams and work together as producers, programmers and artists on real-world projects with milestones and tight deadlines.
