Mission
The Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA) exists to give talented people an industry-based education that best prepares them to succeed in the Interactive Entertainment industry. Using the latest industry tools, world-class instructors, and strategic partnerships, FIEA provides a doorway to video game development for those who see the future of interactive entertainment.
Established
Formed by the University of Central Florida in April 2004, FIEA opened its doors in the fall of 2005.

Background
FIEA is a team-based program with ties to the video game production industry. The program was formed in April 2004 when Electronic Arts and other industry partners helped the University of Central Florida secure funding to develop and implement a video-game development program.Students in the 16-month graduate program will earn an accredited Master's of Interactive Entertainment.
Curriculum
FIEA features an immersive, project-based curriculum. Students are placed in cohort teams and work together as producers, programmers and artists on real-world projects with milestones and tight deadlines.
